This week in science 1/12/09!!!

This was a very interesting week in science. We began our new unit on reproduction. Everyone was so excited. On Monday we discussed terms we would need to know for the test. Some of those terms are mRNA, chromosomes, tRNA, protein, gene, DNA, codon, anti codon and amino acid. At the end of class we started a reenactment of protein synthesis. On Tuesday we continued the reenactment of protein synthesis that took up a good part of class. I thought it was really fun and taught a lot about protein synthesis. On Wednesday we started the reproduction unit. That day was a rough brainstorming day to see what ideas we had and knew about reproduction. We actually got very close to getting the idea, according to Mr. Finley. That day we started a lab on root tip cells. On Thursday we continue the lab. I saw a couple different looking cell of the onion root tip. It was pretty cool. On Friday we finished all of the questions on the lab.
